Confiscation Cabinets
Confiscation Cabinets forms a large series of wall mounted cabinets consisting of everyday confiscated items withheld by Senior Teachers and were never claimed back. This artwork seeks to highlight behavioural divisions around age, gender and culture. As an archival collection it looks specially at aspects involving jewellery, toys, electrical gadgets, sportswear, drugs, sweets and weapons.
The series has been shown at various venues including The V&A Museum of Childhood (now part of the Museum's permanent collection), the Life Centre in Newcastle, South Hill Park Arts Centre, OVADA At Play, the No Format Gallery Out of the Box and Leeds University Pumped Up Kids exhibitions.
